Targeted treatment with radiofrequencies (TECAR)Targeted treatment with radiofrequencies (TECAR)

Radiofrequency therapy (TECAR) is a new, painless, non-surgical method which offers immediate and rapid results for patients suffering from neuromuscular problems.

It combines the use of high power resistive and capacitive radiofrequency, accelerating the normal metabolic process of cells and relieving pain from the very first session.

Each session lasts about 15-20 minutes and TECAR is usually applied in 3 to 6 sessions.

The patient from the first treatment feels immediate relief from pain, muscular relaxation, and decrease of edema.

The application of capacitive radiofrequency is used in structures of the body which have a high fluid content, such as muscular, vascular and nervous tissues. The application of resistive radiofrequency acts on tissues which have high resistance, such as ligaments, tendons, cartilage and bones. It is suitable for any sort of trauma of the neuromuscular system.
The most frequent indications of this innovative treatment are: focal muscle spasm, myalgia, trigger point, tendonitis, post-traumatic edema, neck pain, back pain, sprains, frozen shoulders, plantar fasciitis.

RESISTIVE METHOD
The anti-static electrode is uncoated and the treatment works in the fractions of the musculoskeletal system that have high resistance (muscles, tendons, bones).

CAPACITIVE METHOD
The capacitive electrode is coated with an insulating material and the treatment focuses on body parts, containing large amounts of fluid.

Contrary to the other forms of electrotherapy the advantages of TRC result from the fact that the current is not transmitted by direct contact but via the movement, the attraction and the repellency of electric charges.  It works in depth, increases the blood flow and the oxygenation of tissues.  It increases the cellular metabolism and the elasticity the muscular tissue and tendons.
The action creates intense irritation at the cellular level by stimulating the natural process of body rehabilitation.
