The Physiotherapy Department of the Center covers the needs of physiotherapeutic care for both closed and open hospitalized patients. Physiotherapists, in close collaboration with responsible physicians, evaluate patients and apply knee and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation programs to those in need of support. Physiotherapy programs systematically provide bedside treatment, or treatment in the patient's hospitalization area, depending on impositions of the patient's condition.

Kinesiotherapy programs and personalized protocols of kinetic recovery are applied to all patients who, due to their condition or long-term hospitalization, exhibit kinetic deficits or kinetic disorders. The early mobilization of all patients coming from surgical incidents, especially the ones from orthopedic abnormalities, substantially contributes to the prevention of disorders and the drastic reduction of patients' hospitalization period of time.

Respiratory Physiotherapy Techniques are applied by specialized physiotherapists to all patients to cope with the complications arising in the respiratory system while patients are trained for proper respiratory operation. Respective respiratory rehabilitation programs are applied to all patients, who present at a first or second stage, respiratory problems.

In both sections of the Center, physiotherapy is an integrated part of the whole treatment. Patients, according to specific protocols, are immediately mobilized, and re-educated in kinetic activities and walking, by using auxiliary means and implementing muscular enhancement programs. Similarly, in neurological and neurosurgical patients, functional rehabilitation kinetic programs and techniques are used for kinetic deficits resulting from Central Nervous System (CNS) lesions.

The Physiotherapy Department is staffed by fifteen physiotherapists, with multiannual working experience and specialized clinical know-how.The state-of-the-art equipment and high-tech systems of the Center make it a pioneer in the field of rehabilitation in Greece.

Biodex System pro 4 is the most sophisticated and reliable robotic isokinetic dynamometer used for the assessment and rehabilitation of human neuromuscular and musculoskeletal system. It is commonly used in orthopedic problems, athletic injuries, neuromuscular disorders, cardiopulmonary dysfunction as well as in geriatrics and pediatrics.

Benefits include the shortening wound healing time, the passive mobilization of joints to achieve a full range of motion (ROM) painlessly and completely controlled, the rapid, correct and overall strengthening of the muscles, the reduced probability of recurrence (especially for athletes) and the progress control in recovery.

With the help of CPM machines (shoulder, elbow, knee, ankle, wrist), passive joint mobilization is achieved after an injury or surgery, aimed at early mobilization of the limb and attaining a full range of motion (ROM) of the joint.

The computer-assisted pelmatografer, with the use of special pressure detectors, evaluate the quality of walking and identifies incorrect loading points, allowing for a personalized solution with the aid of orthotic means.
